The new Momotaro 13oz Ivory Selvedge Denim features all-natural, hand-cultivated, long-staple 100% organic and unbleached Zimbabwe cotton, preserving the integrity of cotton leaf and stem fragments. The cotton yarn is dyed using a method called slub dyeing, an oxidation process that gives it a subtle hue resistant to chlorine bleach and fading. Unlike traditional ivory, the jeans feature a fresh tone with a hint of gray. The denim has been woven on a vintage shuttle loom at mid-high tension, creating a proprietary fabric that is exceptionally durable and rigid, evolving smoothly due to its sanforized finish. Its purity is immediately noticeable, as Momotaro has gone the extra mile by exclusively commissioning their skilled denim mill to carefully weave this fabric, ensuring the elimination of any stray indigo yarn bits that could compromise the purity of the denim. This jean comes with a red selvedge line and a tight tapered silhouette that snugly contours the waist, hips, and thighs before tapering down to a narrower leg opening, ensuring versatility and style compatibility with various outfits.
As with all Momotaro jeans, this new Ivory model features superior quality details such as a black cowhide leather patch, a zinc steel button fly, and nickel rivets.
These jeans have a standard sizing. We recommend choosing your usual size. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. The fabric is sanforized, so there will be no shrinkage. Some people might even go for a smaller size than usual, but only those with very thin legs. The waist will experience the typical stretching seen in sanforized denim. Expect approximately 0.5 to 1 inch of stretching.
